I'm a little perplexed here. You say that you are writing a book about the moon? So would you say that you have a particular expertise or knowledge about Space and science in general and the moon specifically - - that you will be helping others by putting your knowledge in a book?
then the question arrives - - why are you asking (total strangers) on YA how to get information on the Moon? If you don't already know where massive amounts of information about the Moon can be found, then that would indicate you might not be the person to write this book.
If you are asking how to go about writing a book - - then you might want to check a different forum - one more focussed on writing and publishing.
