What will the world be like in the 2020s?

The long-term effects of this are unknown. Artificial intelligence will make more advances, By the end of the 2020s we will probably have companion androids at a reasonable price. Jobs will become harder to find and people will begin to stay in a one for a longer time as they used to do in the 60s and 70s- 2020 is barely 3 years away, so its unlikely to be all that different to the world today. Computers and the internet will likely be even more important than they are now.......

The glaciers will be melting faster and fresh water on land will be running out, but if the gulf stream stops flowing, which it might, there will be a rapid transformation as Europe and North America will enter a new ice age while the equatorial areas will become hotter. 2020 is barely 3 years away, so it's unlikely to be all that different to the world today.

Computers and the internet will likely be even more important than they are now. Almost everything will be online by 2030 I would expect. Basic artificial intelligence may start to become a thing later on.

Medicine will gradually improve with new drugs appearing on the market, but nothing revolutionary is likely to happen in that short a timeframe. Genetics is likely to play a greater role.

I honestly feel sorry for people born after the 80s. Not that I think they're any less intelligent or what not. However, younger people don't know the difference between what it's like to be free and just being told that you're free for the sake of appearances. Any generation will grow accustomed to and adjust to the conditions they are born in. It's a sad fact of being human.

Technology and internet opinions tend to be what is the governing factor rather than independent reasoning. Being insanely smart or 'logical' tends to outweigh basic human necessities such as feeling loved or depth. Usually on the basis of, "I just don't want to take the risk. I just want to be safe and not risk it." The propaganda tends to unconsciously weigh on the mind rather than the real self making decisions or intuition. In all, I think there's a great intellectual progress in the throngs of humanity. At the same time what use is knowledge or being smart if one is not genuinely happy or choosing what it is that makes them happy or at least has the potential to do so? Depression and other unpleasant mental dispositions tend to be the root of this. One may hear something like struggle is necessary for evolution. Or survival of the fittest etc. In that, it's like intellectualism, or appearing seemingly so, is taking the drivers seat of the mind rather than the feeling of a real individual worth. It's almost robotic to a degree.
