What does q 2H mean in NMR

This is referring to interpretations of NMR spectra results and is like this 2.30 q 2H. And sometimes it is numbers followed by s or t instead of q. What do all these mean, because I am only familiar to reading the graph format and not this layout?

-
s = singulett
d = dublett
t = triplett
q = quartett

2 H means the signal integration area is twice of the smallest possible signal (1 H)
2.30 indicates the chemical shift with respect to TMS (tetramethylsilan = 0 ppm by definition)
