I have this problem on my math homework and I am just asking you to show me how to do it.

-
5/8 are cats, 3/8 are dogs

5/8 * 104 = 65 cats
3/8 * 104 = 39 dogs

-
Ratio is 5:3

5+3 = 8

104/8 = 13

5:3 x 13:13

5 x 13 : 3 x 13

65 : 39

65 cats : 39 dogs

-
5/3=c/d
d=3c/5
d+c=104
3c/5+c=104
8c/5=104
65 cats
