and Im confused as how to figure out the density.-Dont divide. You should multiply the area (m^2) by the depth (m) to get volume (m^3). Then each 1 m^3 of water has a mass of 1000 kg.......
How would I calculate the mass of water necessary to cover the Earth with an inch of water?

I calculated the surface area of the Earth in meters squared, and I have been given that 0.0254 m is equal to 1 inch.

I divided the surface area by 0.0254 meters, and ended up with a number with just meters as the unit, and I'm confused as how to figure out the density.
