there's a gravity in moon..and even in any celestial bodies on space..it s impossible to have a zero gravity in a certain celestial body.the gravitational acceleration on the surface of the Moon is 1.63 m/s^2, about 16.7% that on Earth's surface. Because weight is directly dependent upon gravitational acceleration, things on the Moon will weigh only 16.7% of what they weigh on the Earth. and rockets can land on moon because of its mass, and the gravitational pull of moon helps the rocket to land down successfully

There is gravity on the moon about a 1/6 of earth. Landing on the moon didn't require too much fuel the LEM to land. What ur thing about is landing on an asteroid. In this case the gravity is minuet. Landing under rocket power is a very tricky exercise. So, what is proposed is to haul the space ship in with a tether a bit like reeling in a fish or a ship to a pier

There is gravity on the moon, it just isn't as strong as the gravity here on Earth. A while back, I read in a magazine that the bottom of the rocket actually works as a suction cup and "sticks" itself to the moon.

There is gravity on the moon...just not as much as on Earth.

If there was no gravity on Earth...those videos of the astronauts taking leaps and jumps on the moon...they would never come back down to the ground if there was no gravity.

-
There is no *atmosphere* on the moon. Plenty of gravity, though: 1/6 of the earth's gravity. That's enough to make a landing work like a landing.

-
There is some gravity. Gravity is proportional to mass and the moon is one big clump of mass.

-
There's not NO gravity. There is less than earth. Therefore there is just enough so it can land but less than earth.

-
There is gravity on the moon, it's just roughly 1/6 that of earth's.

-
where does this "no gravity" idea come from? it comes up a lot, and is just as stupid every time.

-
The Moons gravity is 1/6 that of earth.

-
There is gravity.. The force of Gravity is just much less than on earth..

There is gravity on the moon. It's just not as strong as on Earth
