How could we paint the moon white, and what would happen if we did

it would be a *lot* brighter. You can read a newspaper by a full moon now... It would be about as bright as the sun is on Mars.Like the song says.......
It would be about 14 times brighter, which is not a lot, really, since our eye's response to light is approximately logarithmic.

It might be enough to allow us to see some color in the landscape during a full moon.

We could send a giant rocket with a giant tank full of white paint. When the rocket is above the moon it explodes the giant tank of paint, that should do it.
The result would be that someone named Sherwin Williams would be very happy.

Well, it would be a *lot* brighter. You can read a newspaper by a full moon now... It would be about as bright as the sun is on Mars.

Like the song says... you'd need to wear your sunglasses at night.
