Cosmic time exist. Human perception of the passing of time is the illusion. If cosmic time didn't exist, there would not be a constant speed of light of 3.0 x 10^8 m / sec. or 186,000 miles per hour. No constant speed of light, there couldn't be any atoms to construct matter, no atoms would result in no Universe.

Einstein said that the universe can be described in "space-time" - which, to me means that you cannot describe where you are in the universe without simultaneously describing when you are.

Time and space are so interwoven that we measure distances in units of length-time (light years).

Human perception of the passing of time is not so much an illusion as an enigma - why do we (humans) only see the time arrow point in one direction?

Now for the difficulty - cosmic time exists because space exists - you can't have one without the other. Atoms do not exist except in space-time, the universe only exists in space-time. The speed of light is a consequence of moving in space-time. Relativity is our way of coping with this and Einstein understood relativity 100 years ago. A surprisingly large number of physics also understand it -- but you have to ask how many of them show up amongst the yahoos on Y!A?

I still don't think you get it ( to be truthful from the nature of your posts, I don't think you're capable of getting it ) and it doesn't quite sound like Bob D1 is quite getting it either because time is just another dimension, it's only our perception that makes it time like. The speed of light is not a qualifier for the existence of time.

I thought it was 186,000 miles a second??

Maybe if he thinks it is per hour, it is nonsense.

Actually, the first hydrogen atoms after the Big Bang had to be formed before light existed since they had to form protostars first before fusion would produce the first photon.

The vast majority of us here aren't not professionals and really are quite comfortable with the knowledge we have and use. If you really have something that revolutionary, you need to write up your hypothesis, conduct experiments and submit your results for peer review.

Just talking about isn't going to do anything for your cause.

It is nonsense
