When an astronaut goes on a space walk outside the International Space Station, would they quickly float away from the station unless that have a tether holding them to the station?
I don't think they would, but it they don't why DO they tether the astronauts?

If the Sun were magically replaced with a giant rock that had precisely the same mass, would Earth’s orbit change or not?
