What tests have scientists done to see if evolution is true

In order to test for micro evolution (changes in allele frequency due to some selection pressure) we can use the Hardy-Weinberg equation (p^2 + 2pq + q^2 = 1 were p and q represent the allele frequency in the parental generation) to predict allele frequencies from one generation to the next assuming that no selection is happening. A fairly interesting example of micro evolution happening with a large fox population can be seen in this link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2t74B6S1kzc. Also bacterial resistance to commercial antibiotics is also evidence for evolution many of which have only been recorded fairly recently (http://en.......

All we can say is there are chimpanzees and humans and the only difference seems to be two chimpanzee genes seem to have fused together and that caused humans and chimps to diverge as species.

There is a lot of evidence for evolution with support in the form of the fossil record, the homology, direct observations, and bio-geography.

The direct observations of evolution happen mostly by observing micro evolution.

We can also see evidence for evolution in the form of homology.
In the animals shown in the photo, the limb structure is very similar but they all preform very different functions ( http://faculty.scf.edu/odaffej/WasDarwinWrong.3/WasDarwinWrongEDIT7.html) this also explains why humans have an appendix (the bulge at the start of the large intestine) which can be explained as a relic from our evolutionary past from when we were hindgut fermenters.

A lot more information can be found if you start looking up scientific articles but I just don't have the time right now to do that for you.

Hope this helps

The Croatian Ruin Lizards (Podarcis sicula) shifted from being slightly vegetarian to being strongly vegetarian, acquired a cecal valve and changed behavioral patterns in 40 generations.
