Use the genetic code table on http://www.nature.com/scitable/nated/content/42614/pierce_15_10_MID_1.jpg to determine the amino acids encoded for by the mRNA sequence. Once a stop codon appears, write STOP and don’t add more amino acids. Write the three letter codes for each of the amino acids (e.g. Met) in the peptide chain. (Write this under the mRNA so that each codon lines up with the amino acid it encodes).

PS: That last one is STOP, but because of the many periods to try to line things up, the site messes it up.



This sequence (the second of the four options) will produce the same amino acids.

A pairs with T (U), C pairs with G so on and so forth it will be read 5' to 3' if the first chain is 3' to 5'. stop codons vary there is about 3 or 4 i think, maybe (probably) more. AUG is the only one i remember off the top of my head
