If a somatic cell has 24 chromosomes how many homologous pairs are there

-A somatic cell is any cell that isnt a sex cell. Assuming it is referring to a diploid organism like humans, it would be 12. I would argue that the answer could be no homologous pairs if its a monopolid organism like a male bee, wasp or ant. Or it could be 6 if its a tetraploid organism like some species of tree frogs I believe.......
