What are examples of protoctists and prokaryotes

:) Thanks-Firstly a prokaryote is an organism that has no nucleus, no membrane bound organelles like mitochondria, or endoplasmic reticulum or golgi, they always have a cell wall present but not of the same material as plant cell walls. Prokaryotes have cell walls made of peptidoglycan, whereas plants have cell walls with cellulose.......
I am revising for my biology gcse exam coming up next Tuesday :o
and I need some examples for Protoctists and Prokaryotes? I google it and it comes up with 'algae' and 'bacteria' for both of them, so surely what's the difference and clear examples of each would be REALLY helpful! :) Thanks

Firstly a prokaryote is an organism that has no nucleus, no membrane bound organelles like mitochondria, or endoplasmic reticulum or golgi, they always have a cell wall present but not of the same material as plant cell walls. Prokaryotes have cell walls made of peptidoglycan, whereas plants have cell walls with cellulose.

The prokaryotes include bacteria, and other organisms. But bacteria are the main ones.

Protoctists on the other hand, they are a group of organisms that relate more to other kindoms (animal, plant, prokaryote) than their own. They are more like the group where the organism doesn't fit into any other kingdom.
A main example I always use is "Paramecium", it has a cool name and it is the organism responsible for our supply of paracetamol.

Protoctists and Prokaryotes vary greatly in that protoctists are eurkaryotic and prokaryotes are prokaryotic.

Hope I've helped a little!
