Why is my eye color dark brown, when my father has really light brown eyes and my mom has light green eyes

I don't mind having dark brown eyes and I know genetics with eye color can be pretty complicated im just curious.

Lol that is so weird! Because I'm learning about genetics in science class! It's heredity. Your mom or dad could be holding a recessive trait and handed it down to you without using it :) hope I helped.
