during your summer vacation in an isolated village, you observed that the local folks of the village use a special concoction from 3 different leaves of plants to treat open wounds. you hypothesized that the extract contains healing properties. as a curious student, you are not onlyy interested in the ability of the extract to promote healing of the wound but you also want to find out which among the three plants contain the observed property. when you get home, you obtained samples of leaves of the three plants and planned to perform an experiment using albino mice.

*conclusion

*what possible conclusion/s can you make from your proposed experiment?

thanks in advance! :D i promise to give 10 points!

First, I'd look at the actual experimental procedure. It's not mentioned, so I think it's worth it to make it explicit. What you want to do is to divide the mice into groups, inflict a wound upon them and then threat them:

1) With one of the plants (3 groups total)
2) With two of the plants (3 groups total)
3) With all 3 plants
4) With standard antibiotics and wound dressing
5) With nothing

Then note the results with regards to a number of parameters, such as wound healing time, infection rates, and behavior of the mice to judge pain level. Possible results could be:

1a) Only one of the plants is effective. Other plants have no effect.
1b) Two plants together are effective. Any plant alone has no effect and other combinations are ineffective.
1c) All three plants together is effective. Leaving out any one plant results in no effectiveness.

2)Another possiblity would be more complex combination effects, such as:
2a) One of the plants is effective, but one or both of the others increase effectiveness slightly, while having no effect on their own.
2b) Each plant has some effect. Together they add their effects, either additively or synergistically.
2c) Each plant has a specific sub-effect,e.g. one plant increases healing rate while another prevents infections, etc.

3) Comparisons of plant effectiveness with no treatments and conventional treatment. It's possible that the plants could have:
3a) No effect.
3b) Some effect, but less than conventional treatment.
3c) Effect superior to conventional treatment.

Just a few thoughts. I'm sure there could be more to consider. This question seems very open-ended.
