then four with then.-only haploid number of chromosomes are produced in mieosis ,......

It is these ending daugther cells that are gametes, not the beginning parent cell.

D

Simple Explanation:

Step 1: DNA replicates in Diploid Sex cell; total of 40 chromosomes now exist (still connected tho)
Step 2: Sex cell divides to produce 2 diploid cells, each with 20 chromosomes
Step 3: Each of the 2 cells divides WITHOUT FURTHER REPLICATION, resulting in 4 Haploid gametes, each w/ 10 Chromosomes, none with the exact same genetic configuration

Diploid means a full set of chromosomes
Haploid means a Half set of chromosomes

Thumb me down??

Fvck yall

The answer is D, ten in four cells.

At the beginning of Meiosis, the gametes (sex cells) duplicate the chromosomes. You currently have one cell with forty. It divides twice; two with twenty, then four with then.

only haploid number of chromosomes are produced in mieosis , hence it will be 10 in each of the 4 cells
