If an atom has 47 protons and 55 neutrons, what is its mass #

[From: ] [author: ] [Date: 11-11-29] [Hit: ]
Electrons weigh 1/1836 of a proton, so thats why they are basically excluded.......
i know about the protons and neutrons and stuff like on the perdioc table so yeah oh yeah imma freshman in hs and this is chimistry.. PLEASE CAN SOMEONE HELP ME

Just add the two numbers up for the mass #. a proton and a neutron are each considered 1 atomic mass unit. so the mass # is 102. Electrons weigh 1/1836 of a proton, so thats why they are basically excluded.

basically you add the numbers:
102amu or grams/mole
