Na is sodium, with a smaller atomic number than cl, saying, there are more protons and electrons and nutrons
but they are at less than a molecular scale level, and it would not be noticed

Atomic radii tend to decrease when you move to the right or up on the periodic table, and increase as you move to the left or move down. Since Cl is to the right of Na, it is smaller and Na is bigger.
