The data protection act is in place to protect peoples confidentiality and is directly in place to serve people. COSHH is a regulation in regards to chemicals used in workplaces etc and it is there to protect and provide guidelines in what to do in certain situations where chemicals are involved. They are 2 seperate guidelines, covering two seperate issues. Don't know if this is totally correct, but it's my opinion!
