Why does 5.8 x 10^8 ng = 10^-4 kg

Please explain how, I can't seem to grasp this concept...

Its a conversion.

5.8 x10^8 ng * (1g/1x10^-9 ng) * (1kg/1x10^3g)

=5.8 x10^-4 kg

Basically just add all the exponents together since its all in terms of 1...

Hey, sorry i messed up in the conversion. for the middle part it should be: 1g/ 1x10^9ng

The reason being because its in the denominator. Add the exponents in numerator, and subtract the ones in the denominator
