this means that 5wt% of the 100g sample represents 5 g of CO2.CO2 has a molecular weight of 44.01g/mol so this 5 g sample of CO2 is 5 g /(44.01 g/mol) = 0.Not sure if thats what you wanted, a more detailed question would have been nice.......
If you have a sample of CO2 in Water at say 5wt% concentration CO2. Say the water sample is 100g.

this means that 5wt% of the 100g sample represents 5 g of CO2.

CO2 has a molecular weight of 44.01g/mol so this 5 g sample of CO2 is 5 g /(44.01 g/mol) = 0.113 mol CO2

Not sure if that's what you wanted, a more detailed question would have been nice.
