Would you expect more gymnosperm or angiosperm pollen in a sediment core? Explain why

I would expect gymnosperm to generally be more prevalent because they are polinated by the wind and need to produce more pollen. Angiosperms are often polinated by bees and birds. I have a pine in my front yard and it produces an amazing amount of pollen. Still it depends where the core is taken. Gymnosperm pollen is heavy and doesn't tend to blow that far.
