I want to do something in the Aviation field and i was wondering if i need to be really smart in math for this job?

You at least have to master arithmetic, algebra and trigonometry... For engineering, you'll also need calculus at least through to differential equations... And linear algebra will help as well as some applied maths.

In any kind of engineering profession, having a good knowledge of math is needed. You don't need to be "really" smart, I don't think. If you put your mind to it I don't doubt you'll be able to do it.
