drive train, brakes, suspension systems, mechanical accessories, etc........
I have seen a few videos on how robots are kinda taking over. Is that true?

Yes, robots are performing more and more of the assembly, but an automotive engineer's work is generally not involved with assembly, it involves the technology of the mechanical components of the car; engine, drive train, brakes, suspension systems, mechanical accessories, etc..

THAT is one way....There are a lot of mechanical engineers and automotive is a big industry.

I know a few automotice engineers and they are enjoying it.
