If i have a rectangular prism of clay that is 2x3x4 and i molded it into a sphere what would the surface area be?

-
Volume of prism = 2x3x4 = 24

Volume of sphere = 24
4/3 pi r^3 = 24
pi r^3 = 18
r^3 = 18/pi
r = (18/pi)^(1/3)

Surface area of sphere = 4 pi r^2
SA = 4 pi (18/pi)^(2/3)
SA = 40.23694

-
V = 2*3*4 = (4/3) pi * r^3

solve for r.

A = 4 * pi * r^2

plug in r.
