Each pair of points is on the graph of an inverse variation. Find the missing value. Remember to include the variable in your response (ex. n = 4).

For an inverse variation, the product of x and y is constant:

k = (x1)(y1) = (x2)(y2) = (x3)(y3) = .....


(8) (9)(2) = (x)(6) ---> 18 = 6x ---> x = 3

(9) (8.2)(-3) = (12.3)(y) ---> -24.6 = 12.3y ---> y = -2

(10) (0.5)(7.2) = (0.9)(y) ---> 3.6 = 0.9y ---> y = 4
