Answer a algebra question

Everything on the bottom cancels out and you have whatever was under the opposite side of the equation left to multiply,x = 2-I dont think its solvable because what you would do is multiply half of the equation by x to isolate the variable, but when you do that you would be getting rid of the variable completely and getting some illogical answer like 13=2. Just give the variable a value (like 1 or 2) and try solving. You will see what I mean.-1.......
solve the equation 7/x+5=2/x

-
7/x + 5 = 2/x
Get like terms on the same side of the equation.
7/x - 2/x + 5 = 0
5/x = -5
x = -1

If your question is 7/(x + 5) = 2/x, things get a bit different.
multiply both sides by x(x + 5), since that is the least common multiple of both sides.
x(x + 5)7/(x + 5) = 2/x * x(x + 5)
Everything on the bottom cancels out and you have whatever was under the opposite side of the equation left to multiply, so:
7(x) = 2(x + 5)
7x = 2x + 10
7x - 2x = 10
5x = 10
x = 2

I don't think it's solvable because what you would do is multiply half of the equation by "x" to isolate the variable, but when you do that you would be getting rid of the variable completely and getting some illogical answer like 13=2. Just give the variable a value (like 1 or 2) and try solving. You will see what I mean.

1. multiply both sides by x.

7+5x = 2

2. put all non x terms on the right through addition or subtraction. In this case, subtract 7 from both sides.

5x = -5

3. Divide both sides by 5

x = -1

voila'

-
Is that a fraction? Because if it is there is no solution. You have to multiply both sides by the denominator wich is X. And that leaves no more x's in the equation so there's no solution

-
7/x+5=2/x
*2. *2
14+5=19
19=x

-
it depends if it is:

7 / (x + 5) = 2/x
or
(7/x) + 5 = 2/x

7 / (x + 5) = 2/x
2(x + 5) = 7x
2x + 10 = 7x
10 = 5x
2 = x

(7/x) + 5 = 2/x
7/x - 2/x = -5
5/x = -5
5 = -5x
-1 = x

-
7x = 2x + 10 [cross multiplication]
5x = 10
x = 2

-
7/x+5=2/x
[7+5x]/x=2/x
7+5x=2
5x=2-7
x= -5/5
hence x= -1

-
(x+5)(x)[ 7/x+5=2/x](x)(x+5)
7x=2x+10
5x=10
x=2

-
7/x+5=2/x. 7x=2x+10. 5x=10. x=2.

-
7/x+5=2/x
x*(7/x+5)=(2/x)*x
7+5x=2
5x=-5
x=-1
