Logarithmic problem help please.

[From: ] [author: ] [Date: 11-05-06] [Hit: ]
Solve for x.log 3(x) = 3-Logarithms are basically just asking what power does b need to be brought to to equal y, instead of what does b brought to the power of x equal,log3(x)=3 -> 3^3=x -> 27=x-Im not sure what the question wants but.........
As much as I would want someone else to help me do a lot of these math problems for me I know it would be cheating, i'm desperate and every homework is due tomorrow, and there are MANY problems to slove..but i'll just ask help on this two problems, Maybe I can figure out the rest by myself then. Thank you in advance.

Write the logrithmic equation form, Enter your answer in the form base exponent = answer.

log3 (1/3) = -1
____________
Solve for x.

log 3(x) = 3

-
Logarithms are basically just asking what power does b need to be brought to to equal y, instead of what does b brought to the power of x equal, or algebraically; [logb(y)=x] <=> [b^x=y]
log3(1/3)=-1 -> 3^-1=1/3
log3(x)=3 -> 3^3=x -> 27=x

-
I'm not sure what the question wants but... 3^-1 = 1/3

log 3(x) = 3
10^3 = 3x
