I see only two terms, so that immediately makes me wonder if it is a difference of squares. Are the two terms both perfect squares?

Yes they are.

So this is in the form (a^2 - b^2), and it factors as (a - b)(a + b)

You have to figure out what a and b are, given a^2 = 9c^2d^4 and b^2 = 16e^2f^2

it is the difference of two squares:
(3cd^2+4ef)(3cd^2-4ef)
