So we have m = 5 and the x-intercept is 2.

The x-intercept occurs when y = 0, so we have a point (2,0)

Now, use this point in the y=mx+b form:

0 = (5)(2) + b
0 = 10 + b
b = -10

So, the equation is y = 5x - 10

y=mx+b (slope intercept form)

y=5x-2 (plug in given variables)
