I need some math help please??!!!

the scale on a map states that 1 cm corresponds to 30km. On the map, two cities are .07 cm apart. Find the actual distance.

Ok you have to set up a proportion. 1cm/30km = 0.07cm/(x)km.
0.07x30/1 = 2.1km

2.1 Kilometers is your answer :)

Set this up as a ratio problem. 1 is to 30 as .07 is to x
multiply the inside and the outside: 1x = .07(30)
x = 2.1
The cities are 2.l km apart

Simply multiply .07 by 30;)
