2/3 change their mind, so 1/3 is all that remains. 600*(1/3) = 200.-0.33*0.75*800 = 200-only 400 of them are doing it for the love of music.......
If 75% of 800 recording artists are in the music industry for the love of music, but two-thirds of these later change their mind, how many of all the recording artists are doing it for the love of music?

-
75% of 800= 600
2 thirds of 600=400
so your answer is 200

-
at the begining it will be 0.75*800=600 artists

people who change their mind: 600*2/3=400

the rest of the artists are 600-400=200

-
75% of 800 is 800 * .75 = 600. 2/3 change their mind, so 1/3 is all that remains. 600*(1/3) = 200.

-
0.33*0.75*800 = 200

-
only 400 of them are doing it for the love of music.

-
200
