-1.2.3.4.5. Its solved!......
I really need help with this equation!! i dont understand it at all! Solve for s:

12s + 7-s-18 = 2s + 7

Thanks sooooo much if you can solve this!

-
1. Combine like terms (add/subtract the "s" variables and add/subtract the regular numbers)
2. Subtract 2s from both sides of the equation to get the variables on one side of the equal sign
3. Add 11 to both sides of the equation to get the regular numbers on one side
4. Divide both sides by 9 to get "s" alone
5. It's solved!

12s + 7 - s - 18 = 2s + 7
11s - 11 = 2s + 7
-2s_____-2s
9s - 11 = 7
__+11=+11
9s = 18
9s / 9 = 18 / 9
s = 2 <--- This is your answer!

-
12s + 7 - s - 18 = 2s + 7
- 7 - 7
12s - s - 18 = 2s

11s - 18 = 2s
-11s -11s

-18 = -9s
/ -9 / -9

2 = s

i just did this but i think it is right. also, there is this math website you can type in the equations and they do it for you... i put it on source.

1. Subtract 2 s from both sides and group all the s's. 12s + 7-s-18 (-2s) = 2s + 7 (-2s)
This gives you 9s+7-18=7
2. Subtract 7 from both sides. 9s+7-18 (-7) =7(-7)
This gives you 9s-18=0.
3. Add 18 to both sides. 9s-18(+18)=(+18)
This gives you 9s=18
4.Divide both sides by 9. 9s(/9)=18(/9)
s=2.

Ok we can simplify
12s + 7 -s -18 = 2s + 7
11s -11 = 2s +7 (subtract 2s both sides)
9s- 11 = 7 (add 11 both sides)
9s = 18
s = 2 because 18/9 = 2
Hope this helps =)

-
S=2
you start by combining terms
S terms to the left and # terms on the right
Youll end up with 9s=18 divide both sides by 9 and s will equal 2
