How do you solve the following precalculus problem

[From: ] [author: ] [Date: 11-05-14] [Hit: ]
can someone explain how to solve the whole problem??-Is all of the 2x + 4 under the square root sign? If so then domain is x >= -2 because square root cannot operate on negative numbers for real output. The upper 3 makes the cube of the result of the square root part. This doesnt affect the domain.......
how do you find the domain in the following equation f(x)=(√2x+4)^3 i know how to do most part of it, but been having problems to understand the purpose of the 3. can someone explain how to solve the whole problem??

The upper 3 makes the cube of the result of the square root part. This doesn't affect the domain.
