o this is simple division..Nearest whole number? What? Percentages are all decimals and unless they are over or equal to 50% then they round down to zero. This problem is incorrect.......
Nikita earns $65 000 for one year and pays $14 850 tax. What percentage of her income does she pay in tax, to the nearest whole number?

PLEASE ANSWER AND EXPLAIN THE QUESTION :)

-
14850 divided by 65000 times by 100. That's how you find out percentages.

23%

-
Compare the two amounts by making a fraction

Then multiply by 100 to show the percentage

EXAMPLE

$50 is 1/2 of $100
1/2 as a percentage is 50%

so we get

14850/65000 times 100= 23% correct to nearest whole number

-
O.o this is simple division.

14850/65000
.22846153846153846153846153846154
23%

Nearest whole number? What? Percentages are all decimals and unless they are over or equal to 50% then they round down to zero. This problem is incorrect.

-
14 850 / 65 000 x 100%

= 1485/65 %

= 297 / 13 %

= 22 11/13%

-
23 %

-
14850/65000 = ~23%
