Sorry, I don't understand the problem. Could you try rewriting it? And a nice way to show 'blanks' is to use the underline key, which is a shift-hyphen (probably on the key just right of the zero key).

Is the problem something like this?

__38 + 213__0 = __098

If that is it, then, take what you have of the answer, the __098, and subtract the first term, __38, to give as much as you can of the second term (part): 213__0

__098 - __38 = __60

So, the second term has more information. 213_60 (or maybe '21360').

If these blanks could be single digit (number) blanks, then maybe the second number is 21360. So now we would need something to add to 21360 to give the answer number.

Unless some numbers are missing, or you can see the number of blanks that the problem is asking about, I think there would be a lot of ways to finish the problem from here.

If the problem is:
__38 + 213__0 = __098
then we get
__38 + 21360 = __098
then subtracting the 21360 from the __098 we can fill out the first term more, __738
_738 + 21360 = __098

Here are some answers that seem to work:

738 + 21360 = 22098
2738 + 21360 = 24098
30738 + 21360 = 52098
