so find the square or 5.6457 (use a calculator) and you get 31.87(3+√ 7)^2 = 31.87______________________√ 3(5√ 3-2√ 6)Do whats inside the parenthesis first, because P comes first in PEMDAS(5√ 3-2√ 6) = 5 √ 3 - 2 √ 6 inside the parenthesis, do the square roots,......

√ 3 x √ 8 = 4.9
______________________

(3+√ 7)^2

PEMDAS says "Parenthesis before exponents" so you do inside the parenthesis first.
Inside the parenthesis, do the square root before the addition, because of PEMDAS

(3+√ 7) = 3 + √ 7 = 3 + 2.6457 = 5.6457

(3+√ 7)^2 = (5.6457)^2 . . . so find the square or 5.6457 (use a calculator) and you get 31.87

(3+√ 7)^2 = 31.87
______________________

√ 3(5√ 3-2√ 6) Do what's inside the parenthesis first, because P comes first in PEMDAS

(5√ 3-2√ 6) = 5 √ 3 - 2 √ 6
inside the parenthesis, do the square roots, then the multiplication, then the subtraction
PEMDAS says E before M before S

√ 3 = 1.7320 √ 6 = 2.4494

5 √ 3 - 2 √ 6 = 5 (1.7230) - 2 (2.4494)

Now mutliply:

5 (1.7230) = 8.66 2 (2.4494) = 4.89

8.66 - 4.89 = 3.77

So, what is inside the parenthesis = 3.77

√ 3(5√ 3-2√ 6) = √ 3 (3.77) = 1.7320 (3.77) = 6.52

YOUR ANSWERS:

√ 3 x √ 8 = 4.9

(3+√ 7)^2 = 31.87

√ 3(5√ 3-2√ 6) = 6.52

to get the first answer you get the square root of 3, and the the square root of 8... once you do that you multiply them together.

the second one you get the square root of 7. then you add 3. then once you get there, you square it.

for the third one you start by getting the square root of 3, and the square root of six. then you multiply the square root of 3 by 5. and the square root of 6 by 2. then you subtract the answer of 6 multiplied by 2 from the answer of 5 times the square root of 3. and after that you get the outer square root of three and multiply it by the answer within the ()'s...

The product of two square roots is equal to the square root of the product. So:

√3 x √8 = √(8 x 3) = √24
But you can simplify √24.
Rewrite it as √24 = √(4 x 6) = √4 x √6
