If I had a question such as (5+square root of 2) squared would I get 37 square root of 2?
If I had a question such as (4+square root of 3)(2- square root of 3) how would I simplify it?

5+√2 is already simplified. No, you wouldn't get 37√2. In fact, I'm not sure how you came up with that, but it's not equal to it.

(4+√3)(2-√3)
Use FOIL for this one. Multiply each term in the first parenthesis with each term in the second.
4 times 2 equals 8
4 times -√3 equals -4√3
√3 times 2 equals 2√3
√3 times -√3 equals -3
8-4√3+2√3-3 = 8-2√3-3 = 5-2√3
Answer: 5-2√3
