If f(x)= (3x^2-7)(6x+5) then find f'(x).

f(x) = ( 3x² - 7 ) ( 6x + 5 )

Use the product rule here:

If

f(x) = g(x) * h(x)

then

f ' (x) = [ g ' (x) * h(x) ] + [ h ' (x) * g(x) ]

Let g(x) = 3x² - 7 and h(x) = 6x + 5

Then,

f ' (x) = [ 6x ( 6x + 5 ) ] + [ 6 ( 3x² - 7 ) ]

f ' (x) = [ 36x² + 30x ] + [ 16x² - 42 ]

f ' (x) = 54x² + 30x - 42 = 6 ( 9x² + 5x - 7 )

use The Product Rule: if h(x)=f(x)g(x)
h'(x)=f'(x)g(x)+f(x)g'(x)
6x(6x+5)+6(3x^2-7)
6[6x^2+5x+3x^2-7]
6[9x^2+5x-7]=
6[9x^2+9x-7x-7]
6[9x(x+1)-7(x+1)]
6(9x-7)(x+1)
