............
A PIN number has four digits. How many possible PIN numbers are there??
If anyone could help me out and show working, that would be great!!

Since there are 10 digits (0, 1, 2, 3, ......,9), there are ten possibilities for the first digit of the PIN number, ten possibilities for the second digit of the PIN number and so on. Thus there are

10*10*10*10 possible PIN numbers or 10^(4)

10000

10 possible digits * 10 * 10 * 10
= 10^4
= 10000
