How would I go calculating a limit if the question asks for the limit when x approaches x. Im really confused on this; examples would be great. Thanks!

There must be a mistake. It doesn't make sense to talk about when x approaches x. It only makes sense to talk about when x approaches y, or when x approaches some constant -- pretty much anything that doesn't involve x.
