Question. 48units 30min before breakfast and before dinner. Is 96units a day. And i need that for 90 days.. which is 8,640units For 90 days. How many Vials is that??

There are 100 units of insulin per mL of liquid (USUALLY - there is one kind of insulin called U-500 which contains 500 units of insulin per mL and is reserved for those that are severely insulin resistant and require huge doses of the usual insulin).

There are 10 mL of solution per vial.

10 ml/vial X 100 units/mL = 1,000 units of insulin per vial.

So you need 8.64 vials for a 90 day supply (8.64 vials X 1,000 units/vial = 8640 units per 90 days). However, no pharmacy will every dispense a partial vial, so to completely fill the prescription, you need 9 vials.
