I was wondering...my mother released troponins and is feeling chest and shoulder pain...she's fine but they have moved her there....How are patients treated at this unit

They watch the heart's electrical activity and continue heart enzyme tests. They will want to do an angiogram of the heart arteries and possibly imaging to look for the extent of damage if any. People do have those symptoms and have not had an infarction, it's rare but happens. Why don't you ask her doctor and nurses they usually like to help you.
