No, ghosts and spirits aren't real. But they're a very old superstition, so it's not surprising people report seeing them, like they do aliens and gods and Elvis. Most claims of ghosts are based on fear - fear of the unknown. It's easier to hid in bed and yell 'ghost!' then it is to get up and find out what that noise was.

All depends on your religion. But i believe some people get stuck... and don't think their dead and try to communicate but can't... If they didn't exist, why are some people's jobs focused around it???? Like a crew of demonologists that study it.
