To the outside observers you are NOT everywhere at onceNote also it is called Time-Length Dilationtime slows down and things contract in the direction of motion (x direction)-No, I dont think the lenth contracts that much, when going at the speed of light, time is pretty much paused -except for the things moving at the speed of light.......
But as far as I know tachyons have never been detected... so I'll just keep dreaming...
EDIT: In answer to your additional question, assuming you could travel at c (which you can't), observers would see you traveling at c, not faster. So even though you would reach a distance star in an instant in your frame, according to me back on earth it would have taken you a billion years. When you come back to Earth two billion years has passed here but only an instant of time has passed for you. That is the magic of time dilation.
Yes. That is one of the weird results of Special Relativity. In the Frame of Reference moving at c time stops and distance shrinks to 0. However, to observers outside that Frame of Reference you are at some point in the universe moving to another point. To the outside observers you are NOT everywhere at once
Note also it is called "Time-Length Dilation" time slows down and things contract in the direction of motion (x direction)
