w1*I1 = w2*I2 → w2 = w1[I1/I2] = 2*[4.032/.......
A skater can be represented as a vertical cylinder mass 10 kg, radius 0.08 m. She is holding out TWO masses each of 2 kg at a distance of 1m. She is rotating intially twice a second. She pulls the masses in until they are essentially at 0.08 m from her center. How many times per second is she now rotating?

Answer: 140 (can someone show me how?)

-
I1 = ½(10)*.08² + 2*2*1² = 4.032 kg∙m²
I2 = ½(10)*.08² + 2*2*.08² = .0576 kg∙m²

L1 = L2
w1*I1 = w2*I2 → w2 = w1[I1/I2] = 2*[4.032/.0576]

w2 = 140 rps
