Help solve simple current problem

-It is the area under the curve (or, line in this case) from 0 to 8.......
I have this drawing where the yaxis is i(current) and xaxis is time.
and a current waveform is drawn.
so the line goes up(straight line) until 6s, and drops to 0 instantly and it draws the same thing starting at 8 seconds.

now the problem is "what is the average current over a singe period?(8seconds)"

how do i do this? is the average the area of the triangle??
