2. The squirrel could use Newtons 3rd law of motion by spitting out the nuts and hopefully hed move in the opposite direction away from the edge....one hopes he has enough nuts to save himself!......
Scampering across a partially melted roof in winter with an enormous mouthful of nuts, a squirrel slips on ice near the eavestroughing and slides helplessly toward the edge of the roof. Identify one of Newton's laws and describe how this little fellow could apply it to this situation to save his life.

-
1. Newtons law of gravity is pulling the squirrel to possible doom.
2. The squirrel could use Newton's 3rd law of motion by spitting out the nuts and hopefully he'd move in the opposite direction away from the edge....one hopes he has enough nuts to save himself!

He could spit out the nuts in the direction facing the edge, (for every action there is an equal yet opposite reaction) and that would cause him to be pushed away from the edge.

-
First law: The velocity of a body remains constant unless the body is acted upon by an external force.
The squirrel could spit all the nuts from its mouth and drive on it to get friction.

I would have answered but you lied. You can only give one star to any question. Too bad to because I know the answer.

-
you have nuts in your mouth don't you?
