c) 0.d) 7.I used the formula v^2 = Gm/r I got v^2 = (6.67 x 10^-11)(5.98 x 10^24)/(2.00 x 10^7) which gave me 19943300.......
A space shuttle is orbiting the earth at a distance of 2.00 x 10^7 m from the Earth's center. Assuming a circular orbit, find the shuttles velocity.
a) 1.99 x 10^7 m/s
b) 4.46 x 10^ 3 m/s
c) 0.998 m/s
d) 7.90 x 10^ 3 m/s

I used the formula v^2 = Gm/r I got v^2 = (6.67 x 10^-11)(5.98 x 10^24)/(2.00 x 10^7) which gave me 19943300. V^2= 19943300 V= 4465.792203 which approximates to 4.46 x 10^3 (b). Did i do this right?

Yep.

I checked it with

V = √[GM/R] = 4.46E3 m/s
