Tiny White Bugs on flowers

[From: ] [author: ] [Date: 11-05-19] [Hit: ]
Can they grow large and are they dangerous in any way? Like, are they poisonous or will they grow big and get into our food supply? Will it cause an infestation in the house? Most importantly of all........
My aunt recently picked up these pink colored flowers from outside and brought it into the house. After a week I noticed that there are several VERY VERY VERY and I mean VERY tiny white bugs wiggling around the counter. I suspect that it came from the flowers. The bugs are hard to see and only visible close up. It cannot fly but I was wondering, what kind of bugs are they? Can they grow large and are they dangerous in any way? Like, are they poisonous or will they grow big and get into our food supply? Will it cause an infestation in the house? Most importantly of all....what are they? The flower petals are really small but the stem is about a foot long. OH AND ONE MORE THING! How can I get rid of them? Throw the flowers away? Bug spray? lease be specific!

Your description is very unspecific (update it please), but I will try to classify it the best I can.
They could be aphids. A weak insecticide will kill them for a longer time, but you could use just a sprayer with soapy water if you are in a hurry.
They could also be scale bug males or young females. Try to encourage wasp nests in the area (because they are a very eco-friendly, natural way to get rid of them for a very long time), but if you are icky about wasps try an insecticide labeled for them and scrape off the ones that grow into hard, scale-like bumps.
All other things it could be are many, and all are unhealthy to your plant. If the others above did not help, just use a basic insecticide that is safe for plants and give it the proper dose. And, the bugs are not dangerous to anything except the plants they are on.

It sounds like aphids. They don't fly, and live by sucking the plants juices. They are relatively easy to get rid of. A spray bottle with water and a small amount of dishsoap will do the trick.
